This set is very different from the rest of our collections. Upon first play not only will you have tons of fun (this is a side effect of all of our collections we are told) but you’ll notice each and every one of the presets are layerable. This means you can click on any preset adjustment and then choose a few more to create a custom, finished look for each and every one of your portraits. How cool is that?
The Clean Edit Portrait Workflow was created to complement all different types of portrait sessions. From outdoor sessions to studio sessions and weddings, we have you covered with a comprehensive set of Lightroom Portrait tools built to enhance, correct and infuse your images with a style all your own.
Want to know the best part? Each edit still only takes a few seconds time! We are pretty excited about that too. I mean who doesn’t want to spend more time with their family or doing more of the things they love?
We know you are itching to see what this collection can do. So to mix things up a bit, we are going to edit a couple of photos from beginning to end. Ready?
For our first edit, let's start with this image taken straight out of camera:
First, we will correct the white balance. There are many choices for different situations but we are going to choose the White Balance Auto Preset here. Notice how it warmed the image up a bit? Like magic!
Next, let’s have some fun and add one of the 7 Pretty Mixer Presets that’s included in the set. The Pretty Mixers are a pre-recorded mix of adjustments rolled into one super cool preset, saving you even more time. For this image, we picked Pretty Mixer Fave 5. Bam! We’re in love already!
Next, we are going to add a few tweaks to make this edit absolute perfection. We decided to add the Soft Vignette 1 Preset from the included new Portrait Toolkit for a polished feel.
Ready for the grand finale? We’re going to soften this image (just a tad without losing the detail) using the Noise Reduction +50 Preset (also from the included Portrait Toolkit). Tada!
Here is the before and after so you can see the beautiful changes the presets made.
OK, because we had so much fun playing with the Clean Edit Portrait Workflow Collection for Lightroom with the first edit, we decided to add another edit using some of the other stackable presets that are included.
Ready? Let’s go! We are going to start off with this clean image, straight out of camera.
Now let’s Get started and Adjust the white balance. We selected WB Auto for this image. See how nicely it warmed up? All with one click of the mouse and no guessing required.
Next, we are going to bump up the exposure a tad. We selected Exp +50 for an automatic exposure correction. We are in love already, but the fun does not stop there!
Now let’s add some contrast. We selected S-Curve Pop for a perfect contrasty pop. Bam! What a difference!
Last but not least let’s finish this edit off and with the perfect soft and pastel color hue. We selected Base 3 | Pastel Color. Don’t you just love what this did to the greens! Seriously we are doing a happy dance over here guys.
Again, here is a before and after of the gorgeous changes the presets made to our photo!
Wow, That was so much fun! We could edit another one with you right here and now but we know that you are excited to start digging into this collection yourself so we will let you go have a little fun of your own!
