Tips for Customizing your Holiday Bokeh Presets

To get the best results from your Holiday Bokeh Presets, here are some tips to keep in mind:

  • Removing bokeh (radial filter pins) from certain areas of the photo, such as bokeh that falls on top of your subject or other main areas of interest in your image.

  • Consider the depth of field of your image and where the bokeh would look the most natural.  For example, if your subject is photographed indoors in front of a window, the bokeh may look most natural if it is coming from outside (behind the window).  To achieve this depth of field effect, you should erase all bokeh except for what is showing through the window.

  • For best effect, try not to compete with existing bokeh or holiday lights in your image.

We hope you have fun playing with these new presets just as much as we did making them for you!  Enjoy your new Holiday Bokeh collection for Lightroom!
