I was there 10 years ago, after a few failed businesses. I even found myself reaching out to successful businesses on Etsy and asking if I could work for them. Thankfully, no one was interested. I was at the end of my rope and had nothing to lose. I started my current business on a generic blogger website almost overnight. The inspiration? My kids. My husband was away for work often and I had two toddlers at home. We had just moved to a new town and I didn’t know anyone there. It felt as if everything was stacked against me. What I learned through the process was priceless. Let me elaborate:

Give up the idea that you can’t do it, that you don’t know what you’re doing or that there is no chance this idea of yours will ever work out. You absolutely can start it, you can succeed and don’t be afraid of failing. What fuels you? Answer that question now before reading any further. It will be what you need to push through the late nights and long weekends. For me, my fuel was the thought of being with my kids, at home, long-term.

As someone who failed quite a few times before launching something successful, I’d never exchange those failures for instant success. Without those failures, I wouldn’t have been successful at the business I truly loved.

Don’t be hard on yourself during the process. It’s a process, accept that it will take time. This 150-page, 16-week course is meant to come alongside and hold your hand along the way.
