We've done this earlier in the year and it's time to do it again! Lets PAY IT FORWARD.
Over the past couple of months, I've had the opportunity to give to people who have went out of their way to help others. In each of these circumstances these photographers felt that they should continue to pay it forward and took it upon themselves to encourage someone else. How can we pay it forward?
What I love most about my business is the opportunity to meet others and to be able to encourage them. Personally, I get more joy out of giving than receiving. I know I'm not alone. I imagine that you may have started your photography business for some of the same reasons. You may love working with people, you may enjoy giving back to your community, or capturing those special moments for others! For whatever reason you've started your business, you have a special opportunity to give back.
Here is my challenge to you. What can you do to pay it forward this week? In our industry we are always working with people. Can you include an extra 5x7 in an order or maybe send out a special birthday or anniversary card to your client. Maybe encourage another Photographer and "like" or comment on their photo. Sometimes life gets so busy that we forget how something so small can go such a long way.
I encourage you to join me this week and pay it forward. Let us know that you paid you forward with a comment below. You don't need to share what you did unless you truly want to. Just let us know "I paid it forward today". For each person that comments I will give a $1 donation to World Vision. Your willingness to give will make a difference. Share through Thursday night and on Friday I will post some stories and highlights from the week.
This is a glimpse of World Vision. This is my favorite charity. There is so much need and every little bit helps! You can visit their website at www.worldvision.org.
Thank you all for joining us in paying it forward! Here is what was done on your behalf. We doubled what you paid forward and gave $150 which goes so far at World Vision! I hope you continue to find ways to encourage others and I will do the same. Thank you! Respectfully, Laura
