Editing Fall Images with Pretty Presets

So many have been asking about a Fall Collection and/or how to achieve that warm, earthy fall look. I am just as excited as you are for a Fall Collection *but* that golden look can still be achieved with a little help from the different Pretty Preset brushes!

What's awesome about these two edits, is the base preset for both is Peacock from the Pretty Forum Treasure Chest (see special promo below!).

Fall Edit #1:

  • Smoothed skin using the PP Portrait Brushes
  • Peacock from the Pretty Forum Treasure
  • Adjusted white balance to warm the image (a bit more than the previous edit) and reduce the magenta in her skin.
  • Then to transform the greens, I did the following:
  • First, I used a Lighten Shadows brush from the Graduated Filter Toolbox to lighten the shadows in all of the greenery
  • Then I used the Add Red brush from Color Luxe and painted red tones along the edges of some of the leaves.
  • Then I used a second Add Red brush from Color Luxe and painted red tones across all of the greenery in the image.
  • Next, I used the Add Coral brush from Color Luxe and painted coral tones over the entire background of the image as well.
  • Then I used the Green to Yellow brush from Color Luxe and brushed it over all of the greens in the image.
  • For my final step, I used a Color Pop brush from the Color Luxe Collection and pop the background colors even more.

Fall Edit #2:

  • Smoothed skin using the PP Portrait Brushes
  • Pretty Color from the Summer Collection
  • Adjusted white balance to warm the image and reduce the magenta in her skin.
  • Then to transform the greens, I did the following:
  • First, I used the Add Coral brush from Color Luxe and painted coral tones over the entire background of the image as well. I did this at a low opacity setting.
  • Then, under the HSL panel, I adjust the hues of the yellows, oranges, and reds. Then I adjusted the saturation levels slightly as well.  This changed the greens in the image to a much warmer, Fall inspired tone.

Spring or Summer Edit Bonus:

  • Smoothed skin using the PP Portrait Brushes
  • Peacock from the Pretty Forum Treasure
  • Adjusted white balance to warm the image and reduce the magenta in her skin
  • Contrast a Lot from PP Workflow
  • Adjusted the hue of the greens under the HSL panel, bringing the greens towards the aquas.
